Frequently Asked Questions
Can you help with…?
At Mutter Chiropractic we recognize the innate intelligence of the body is what does the healing. Chiropractic is a needle-free, drug-free approach to promote health and wellness. The one thing all diagnoses, conditions, and dis-eases have in common is that the communication between the brain and the body is challenged. To that end, chiropractic care that focuses on spinal and neural integrity supports the natural and innate capacity of the body to heal.
Why do kids go to the chiropractor?
There are many reasons for parents to consider chiropractic as a first line of support when encountering challenges with their kids.
Chiropractors trained and experienced in the care of young ones offer a gentle, precise, drug-free, and physiologically-based service to facilitate more ease in the developing nervous system. Chiropractic is not a treatment for a condition, but rather a way to support the normal, self-healing capacity of the body. There are many expressions of dis-ease that occur in young ones that are often related to stress and tension held in the spine and cranium. For example, birth is a powerful experience and that power can be exerted in ways that can be taxing to the newborn’s body.
Parents may consider seeking chiropractic services for their young one for colic, issues with latch, digestive challenges, irregular/absent poops, sleep difficulties, mobility concerns, or visible asymmetry in posture or movements. Parents also bring their young ones in simply because they have personal experience with the benefits of chiropractic to facilitate balance and ease and want to offer that gift to their child.
As the stream of child development becomes a river, chiropractic helps to address and adjust any “boulders” or “dams” that may obstruct the flow of life and health.
What is neurotonal chiropractic?
Neurotonal chiropractic reflects a blending of adjusting tools and techniques based on who and how the practice member enters care. Taking an in depth health history and using leading edge technology to measure autonomic nervous system function helps determine which kinds of chiropractic adjustments will promote more change more quickly. Network Spinal is the foundation for how we offer neurotonal care. In addition, we integrate cranial work and extremity adjusting, as well as instrument and manual adjustments when indicated.
What is Network Spinal?
Network Spinal is a very gentle chiropractic discipline that focuses on how energy and tension are organized in the neurospinal system. Nervous system tension patterns are assessed and light touch “contacts” are made to help release/unwind these patterns. As care progresses, the focus changes to help the nervous system reorganize the stress and tension held in the body to become more efficient and more adaptive. NS has been and continues to be researched in the chiropractic, complementary and alternative health, bio-psycho-social, and engineering literature.
What is a Community Chiropractic Visit?
Our office reflects the Network format of an open space in which people receive spinal care in a group setting. Each patient receives individual care on their own table during the scheduled community session.
If at any time you have concerns or wish to speak privately with your chiropractor, please let us know so that we can make the appropriate time and space available.
How much does it cost?
We list our appointment fees online, which can be seen on our online scheduling site. We recommend care plans, which are a series of visits followed by a re-evaluation. We offer the option of fee for service as well as prepayment plans, which reduce the overall cost.
Do you take my insurance?
We can provide more time and more focus on your care when insurance coverage is a conversation between you and your insurance company.
We do not bill medical insurance. At Mutter Chiropractic, we do not offer medical services.
We understand how frustrating it is to navigate insurance, which is why we are transparent about what we offer: high quality, personal chiropractic care to help you get and stay well. Our fees reflect our desire and commitment to serve families and the community.
Mutter Chiropractic can provide superbill receipts to practice members upon request. A superbill is a one page document that contains all of the information an insurance company needs to process a claim. Superbills do not guarantee reimbursement, but many practice members are successful in receiving reimbursement from their insurance.
Please reach out to us with any questions.
I was in a car accident. Do you take motor vehicle insurance?
Mutter Chiropractic is not currently accepting new patients for personal injury/motor vehicle claims.
Do you accept Medicare?
The doctors of chiropractic at Mutter Chiropractic provide non-manipulative services with the objective to promote and enhance the quality of life. Medicare does not cover and does not reimburse these services when performed by chiropractors. Medicare also does not cover exams or x-rays when performed or ordered by chiropractors.
